Scientific publications

Human-induced dispersal of plant and animal organisms, which has reached a particularly wide scope in recent decades, is shown to be a pressing problem. Patterns and consequences of alien organism introductions in aquatic ecosystems are considered. Examples of the greatest-scope detrimental impacts of "biological pollution" are provided using data from the literature. Special focus is on the process of alien species invasion in Lake Onego.
